That's right, I can fly (with the aid of giant fans blowing winds of 110mph, but hey, I'm still flying). I spent a total of two glorious minutes airborne and was taken for a spin (literally) by the instructor.

For those who haven't seen it, here is a summary of Battle LA.

Warning, this is pretty much exactly what happens in the film.

"Is that an alien? I'm not sure they're too blurry and far away to see"

"I'm a vet"

"Great! You should know all about alien physiology"

"Ingenious, so to kill them, we have to shoot them?"

"Not just shoot them, but shoot them in the heart"

"Wow, who would have thought?"

"But wait! Where is their heart?"

"It's in the same place as ours but slightly off to the left"

"Those sneaky devils"

"Why don't don't we just blow them up?!"

"Genius! Where were you at the beginning of this film?"

"I was here but had angry feelings towards you because my friend died while under your command and I hold grudges for a long time. Its a problem I have"

"You mean Private Davies? Soldier number 385720? 6 foot 2? Blonde? Slight stubble? made out with a midget once? dislikes Dr Pepper but pretends he likes it to be 'in with the crowd'? Thought he was getting off with a girl on his 22nd birthday but turned out it was a horse?"

"You remember him?"

"No!"

"Besides, none of what I just said matters. I was just filling to the end of the film"
